Thrifty Word Challenge #13: Institutionalization



He sat in the audience listening like all his coworkers. The president spoke, in platitudes, and patriotic banter, about the Flag, the Constitution, Our Military, and our Hero's. “You the Men and Women who make up this fine institution …,” the president was saying.


Todd was so worked up he caught only a smattering of the crazy the man was saying. “Institution, now that's a word that applies,” Todd thought. “Like a F’ing insane asylum, they all should be institutionalized.”


“what,” the man next to him said.


“…axis of evil…” the president said.


“Sorry, nothing,” Todd whispered flexing his fingers.
