Zombies

What we once called civilization was wasted on the Zombies. They gravitated to the cities. It was seldom that they ventured out into the hills, mountains, or countryside, so that is where we stayed and survived. Even small towns attracted them. So we created mobile villages, kept them small, moved frequently, and stayed far from where the Zombies dwelt. Trips to the city meant you would likely die and be eaten, so we hardly ever did. We kept our villages austere fearful that too much civilization would attract the Zombies. Hoping that whatever kept their attention would always keep it.
